April 13th - 16th Coachella, Palm Springs

Coachella was pretty awesome, some flaws but otherwise awesome. We hired a campervan for the week, it had a massive bed, a fridge, store, sink and still room for us to drive it. Unfortunately it was so big it was bloody hard to drive especially on the other side of the road too. Coachella was massive like 60000 people per day and luckily it wasnt as hot this first weekend as it was the 2nd weekend but it was still hot, its in the desert! And the views around the site were just unreal.
We stayed next to some awesome Finnish people and again ate lots of mexican food and super cheap vodka ( 1.75L Absolut for $23!). The best act was Kaiser Chiefs but also Snoop & Dre, Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The rapture, Frank Ocean and The Black Lips.

April 11th - Dodgers first home game for the season

Today we went to the Dodgers first home game for the season and also the stadiums 50th anniversary. It was pretty amazing and in typical american fashion the pre-game stuff was over the top. The Beach Boys performed some of their songs and the national anthem. If you look closely at the bottom picture it pretty much shows what happened, they presented everyone from each team included nutritionists, physios and assistant secretaries. Then they pulled open this enormous flag with US soldiers, sang the national anthem then released 52 doves (representing each state), set off fireworks and then 2 fighter jets flew over top. Im not sure how many doves survived. Dodgers beat Pittsburg 2-1

April 9th, 2012 - Los Angeles

Departing Melbourne to New Zealand and then onto Los Angeles, U.S.A. We flew with Air new zealand and it was so good we didnt want to get off. New Zealand airport was fine except the huge amount of sheep and possum fur things you could purchase e.g. possum nipple and willy wamers. Anyway the plan is to stay in Los Angeles until April 12th and then head to Palm Springs, California for Coachella Music festival and then return to Los Angeles to fly to Argentina on April 17th. Hopefully we have good internet I will try to upload more posts

This was between Venice Beach and Santa Monica Beach. We walked from one beach to the other. This is a massive outdoor gymnastics area which anyone could play on it was free and we ended up watching people for about half an hour there. In this area ive never seen so many people doing outdoor activities if you werent riding a wierd 2metre bike or a normal bike or rollarblading, you were doing yoga or capoiera. Somehow we missed muscle beach (the outdoor gym) we´ll have to see it next time.

The healthiest food we found in LA and once we found it went there 4 nights in a row. It was a mexican sports bar and it was so cheap. I think these were $8 each and another night we shared a main cause it was so big and it was only $11. The food in the US is just double the size of ours. You cant get anything normal sized and its the same price or cheaper then ours. The smallest beer was a scooner and it was only $4.
